Course Objectives
By the end of this course, learners will have a comprehensive understanding of disability, including its prevalence and the unique challenges faced by persons with disabilities and their families. Participants will learn to identify various disabilities and their characteristics, recognize the importance of treating individuals with respect and dignity, and understand the safe use of transport devices and mobility aids. Additionally, the course will cover essential workplace safety guidelines and self-care techniques to support emotional well-being, equipping learners with the skills needed to foster a respectful, supportive, and safe environment for all.

The Support Service to Persons with Disabilities course is specifically designed for professionals who interact with individuals with disabilities in their work or daily lives. This course emphasizes the importance of understanding and addressing the unique needs of people with physical, emotional, learning, and intellectual disabilities. It is highly recommended for service professionals across various sectors—such as support care staff, social service workers, and volunteers—who engage with persons with disabilities in settings such as home, community, or workplace environments.
